Our Story

According to recent statistics, at least 1 out of 10 homeless persons in Toronto are pet owners. These pets undoubtedly provide unconditional love, companionship, happiness, and bring longevity to their owners. They give them purpose, responsibility, and perhaps most importantly, a reason to live.

It goes without saying that the pets of Toronto’s homeless population lack adequate food, housing, and veterinary care. This leaves these animals at a high risk of illness, and thus the spread of disease. Sadly, instances of suffering are predictably very high among these pets, too often leading to death.

Our hope at PAWZ 4 CAUSE is that others among the veterinary community will share our passion to help ease the burden of this often unrecognized issue, and join us in the initiative to improve the lives of not only the animals, but their owners, too. We aspire to make veterinary care accessible to those who are in need, at risk, and most vulnerable in our society.

If we continue to do nothing, the health of these animals will surely decline, and disease will spread, leading to pain, suffering and/or death. Those who are already struggling through life will lose their best friends, their source of unconditional love, companionship, and possibly even what has become their support system.

With your help, I believe we can make proper veterinary care accessible for these animals, alleviating some of the worries that plague their owners, and ensuring all animals in our communities are healthy and free of disease.

Life is full of opportunities to make a difference. It is up to all of us to take on the task of making the world around us a better place. Personally, at the end of my days, I want to know that I have contributed even in the smallest of ways to improving the lives of others, that I have made a difference.

Never underestimate the difference that you can make. Step forward, reach out, and help. Contact me today and let me know how you want to help.

I look forward to meeting you.

Let's get started!

With love & hope,
